Best Puppy Training Program

The best puppy training program Doggy Dan’s “Project Moses.” Doggy Dan adopted a puppy named Moses when the puppy was 8 weeks old and taped himself training the puppy every week for a full year.  It’s the best puppy training I’ve seen online for any breed.

Doggy Dan is a Professional dog trainer and behavioral specialist and owner of the dog training website, The Online Dog Trainer.  You can read my review of The Online Dog Trainer HERE.

For people wanting to train a puppy, nothing compares to this. Nothing.

So How Do I Train My Puppy?

Well, the great news is that it’s not complicated, especially with the help of Doggy Dan’s The Online Dog Trainer video website.  One of the latest and most exciting additions to the website is Project Moses. For anyone who has a new puppy, this is a must. In this part of the site, Doggy Dan has taken an adorable new puppy named Moses and videoed every stage of his training from eight weeks old right through to one year old, and those videos are all available on the site.

It’s so fun and exciting to watch.  You can see Moses learning all of the commands, and growing into quite an amazing dog.

This project in itself is such an incredible concept, that it could be the only training he offers and it would still be priceless. You can find out more about Project Moses, and the rest of Doggy Dan’s puppy training programs by clicking here:

best puppy training programDog Obedience Classes

Before you get hung up on going to dog obedience classes to learn how to achieve popular doggie tricks to impress your friends and family…honestly…we spend so much time and effort focusing on how to do commands such as sit and stay but rarely focus on the really important stuff.

Think about it – has a dog ever been put to sleep (yes, I am talking about euthanization) because they didn’t do a proper sit? Or because their down command was a bit slow? Or because they didn’t stay? Of course not. Yet that’s what we all learn at puppy school!

The important stuff, like handling aggression, for example, aren’t taught at dog obedience classes. More dogs are put to sleep for aggression, barking, growling, and challenging than for any other reason.  There is nothing more dangerous than an out of control dog, pulling you along on the leash, ignoring you when you call them. Never mind the danger to themselves, children, neighbors, strangers, or around cars and other dogs.

Learning how to train a puppy is a safety issue – for you, for your family, for people around you, and for the puppy.

Most people’s idea of a perfect dog would include all of the following five behaviors:

Calm around all animals, including other dogs.

Friendly to people, including children.

Relaxed and obedient at home.

Always comes when called.

Walks nicely on a leash.

You Can Achieve All 5 of These!

  1. Hi Debra,

I’ve heard of Doggy Dan and I think he does a fantastic job in dog training. I wished his training was around during the time we had our first puppy.

We woke up one morning and found mounds of puppy poop under our bed and that was a nightmare!

I love how he handles dogs, the gentle methods he uses and I would truly recommend his training.

Thank you for sharing this Debra.
