Puppy Behaving Badly?

Just like humans, puppies can have a variety of behavior issues such as:

Peeing indoors.
Destructive behaviors due to stress/separation anxiety.
Biting, growling, and showing aggression.
Excessive barking.
Jumping, pulling on the leash, not coming when called.
And SO much more! These sorts of behaviors can take the joy out of owning a dog and might even make you question why you got a puppy to begin with!

Two Biggest Puppy Training Mistakes

Mistake #1. Mixing different dog training methods. I bet you’ve already spent time searching the internet for resources to help your puppy overcome whatever behavioral challenge they (and you!) are experiencing.

There are many wonderful dog training programs out there. And most, fortunately, use kind, gentle methods. However, when you start mixing dog training methods, things can quickly become CONFUSING FOR YOUR PUPPY.

If you want your puppy to understand how you want them to behave, you have to be consistent in the methods you use, the commands you use and your reaction to things.

Mistake #2. Using harsh, expensive and harmful training products. Usually it’s exhaustion and frustration that leads people to turn to harsh training products such as electric shock collars, choke chains, electric fences and other harmful tools.

Harsh training products often cause more problems in the long run like anxiety and aggression.
