How to Be Pack Leader for Your Puppy

Most dogs are followers, not leaders. In the wild, there’s only one dog in any pack who is the pack leader, and the others follow. So, chances are, your puppy is NOT a leader, but would prefer to be a follower.
For most dogs, feeling like they have to be in charge is extremely stressful and results in all kinds of bad dog behaviors. If you teach your puppy early on that YOU are the pack leader, it’ll save you both a ton of grief for years to come.

NOTE: Being the pack leader does NOT mean being dominant and physically aggressive with your dog.
There are 5 gentle, psychological techniques (Doggy Dan’s 5 Golden Rules) that you can use with your puppy to demonstrate that you’re the pack leader. When applied, your puppy will simply understand that you’re the boss.
They’ll view you as the one in charge, and they’ll listen to you without you having to use any harsh or aggressive techniques.
